There is an abundance of free flowing waterfalls that dot both the road to Hana and the Hana country side. One of the most famous is located at Oheo Gulch, Haleakala State Park, often referred to as the "seven sacred pools".
There is a short hike about 2 miles up to a spectacular 400 foot waterfall. After the hike you can refresh in the waterfall that feeds the fresh water pools near the ocean.
Dining out or in: In addition to having a beautiful kitchen in which you can prepare your own meals for a romantic evening, there are several places to eat. The Hotel Hana Maui offers daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although a bit expensive, you may want to try it out if you don't feel like cooking. The Hana Ranch Restaurant also offers daily take-out, and a la carte meals.
